1. Who we are

AI for Academic (“we”, “us”) is a product studio operated by Tuyến Trần, MD, based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Our website is aiforacademic.world.

2. Data we collect

• Account data: email address and display name via Google Sign-In (Firebase Authentication). We do not store passwords.
• Usage data: tool invocations, document metadata, and anonymous analytics events (Firebase Analytics).
• Documents you upload: manuscripts and PDFs are processed in memory for the requested tool operation. We do not retain uploaded documents after processing completes.

3. How we use your data

We use collected data solely to provide and improve our tools: running AI-powered analysis on your documents, tracking tool usage to diagnose issues, and communicating service updates. We never sell your data to third parties.

4. Third-party services

• Cloud infrastructure providers — hosting and AI model inference.
• Firebase — authentication and analytics.
• LemonSqueezy — international payment processing.
• SePay — Vietnamese domestic payment processing.

Each provider processes data under their own privacy policies. We share only the minimum data necessary for each service.

5. Patient data (PHI)

AI for Academic is designed for academic manuscript workflows, not clinical record management. Do not upload documents containing protected health information (PHI) or patient-identifiable data. We are not HIPAA-compliant and do not process PHI.

6. Data retention & deletion

Account data is retained while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing contact@aiforacademic.world.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication (Firebase session) and anonymous analytics. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
